Kanazawa Phonograph Museum

I visited to the Kanazawa Gramophone Museum!
Good evening, I'm DJ Yasu, the representative of VIBESRECORDS.
It's the year 2022! Thank you for support always!
So a few years ago, I've visited a gramophone museum in Kanazawa.
The gramophone that appears at about 1:11 in the video (Youtube above) was donated by the founder of Sony Corporation, and was made in England in 1929.
It was made in England in 1929, and its paper horn is 70 centimeters. There was a time when records were played without electricity, and the phonograph was the equipment used to play them.

It is quaint.

So at the Kanazawa Gramophone Museum, there is an event called "Gramophone Listening Comparison" several times a day, where you can actually experience the difference in sound depending on the equipment.

The museum currently has about 600 gramophones and more than 30,000 SP records in its collection. The sound of SP records is worth listening to, as they wear out and lose their life every time you listen to them.

It is said that there was a foreign tourist who told about the sound as "SP is oil painting art, CD is 4K.

I think you will be able to have experience a different atmosphere from that of today's analog records. It was a great moment for me to see the ancestors of records and turntables up close, and to actually hear and experience the sound.
